Summary: The Rotary Club of Alpharetta funded a grant to support the North Metro Miracle League Community Skills and Fitness Program. The program provides for Summer Day Camps, After School Community Skills and Fitness Clinics, spring and fall adapted inclusive softball. Many of our members and students from the Interact Clubs volunteer at the events. The North Metro Miracle League provides adapted recreational sports, inclusive social program and community skill training for children and youth with disabilities. All of the programs have intrinsic value, healthier life styles and improved social skills. However because the programs are inclusive, able bodied volunteers, mainly local high school and middle school students are paired with a Miracle League partner and inevitable friendship follows.
