ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA – April 16, 2015 – The city of Alpharetta and Rotary Club of Alpharetta will host the Inaugural Memorial Day Tribute on Monday, May 25 at 8:30 a.m. at Alpharetta City Hall, 2 Park Plaza. The event is free for the public to attend.
“We're looking forward to paying tribute, as a city, to those who have died while in the service of this Country as a member of our armed forces,” said Mayor David Belle Isle. “It's one of the reasons we developed the new Brooke Street Park behind City Hall. Come join us as we honor those who first honored us through their service and sacrifice.”

The Memorial Day Tribute will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a performance by the Alpharetta City Band followed by a program including keynote speaker, Lt. Nick Snider who is known for being a voice of patriotism in America and served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer followed by a 33 year career with United Parcel Service (UPS). For many years he has dedicated his life to creating the National Museum of Patriotism in Atlanta which opened on July 4, 2004. “Memorial Day is an important day in the life of our nation and our hometown,” said John Hipes, Chairman of Alpharetta Memorial Day Tribute. “It is a day to show our respect, individually and collectively, to those who have earned it. The City of Alpharetta and the Rotary Club of Alpharetta are pleased to welcome all of Alpharetta and surrounding areas to gather downtown at City Hall and pay tribute to the men and women of our military who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.”
