VISION WARRIOR DINNER

ORGANIZATION MISSION: Our mission is to end addiction. The statistics related to drug overdoses on opiates alone is staggering. It is estimated that in 2017 nearly 49,000 people died from overdose caused by opiates alone and that number is rising. As an American you are more likely to die from an overdose than a car crash, or gun violence.  The treatment of this affliction is multifaceted, we believe it should not bankrupt a person or family, and that a safe sober environment should be available to anyone who wants to recover.

DETAILS: Volunteers can cook a piece of the meal at home, and bring it to VW, or we will all cook together at VW starting at about 4.  We will serve the meal to the men at 6:15, and can stay for their weekly meeting at 7.  Our hope is that through fellowship, serving, and getting to know the men, we will all come to a greater understanding of what recovery “looks like” and how being a part of a healthy community helps people recover.
