Alpharetta Rotarian Paul Ray serves with Wilderness Team 2016

Wilderness Team 2016
March 12 - 19, 2016

The Team consisted of 36 members not including the veterinarians. Our projects included foundation for a counseling center and pavilion area expansion at Hope Middle School, a few concrete floors in houses, and in-home water filtration systems.

I was the Team Leader for the water filtration systems. The project included building stands to hold the filters, painting them and then training on care and use before installing the filters in homes. In 4 days we completely installed a total of 113 systems in 3 villages and had another 14 ready to go. Unfortunately, we did not have time to install those.

The highway across the Corridor of Death is coming along nicely and should be complete by next year. This will shorten the trip by about 2 hours between Juticalpa and Culuco.
