Alpharetta Rotary teams up with North Fulton Serves for Great Day of Service
On a cold rainy Saturday morning, September 26, Alpharetta Rotarians, along with 100+ others, rolled up their sleeves (and unrolled the rain gear) to join the North Fulton Day of Service, in collaboration with North Fulton Serves (NFS).  Rotarians participated in Adopt-a-Mile work in Alpharetta and Johns Creek.  Additionally, Rotarians along with an army of volunteers from the community met at Rock Mill Park to do work in support of the Alpharetta Rivers Alive Cleanup, another service opportunity as part of the Great Day of Service.  A list of all projects for the day is listed below.
Other service projects completed that day were at the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve, Big Creek Greenway, and Lionheart Gardens.  By the end of the day, all volunteers were cold and wet; however warmed inside after seeing the results of their hard work.  Alpharetta Rotary President Kirk Driskell summed it up by saying “Our club continues to become interwoven in the fabric of this community.  A Day of Serving others and helping the community with much needed projects continue to provide Rotarians the opportunity to live the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”.
